International Webinar Russkiy Siyay - Russian for Tai-Kadai languages native speakers

A webinar was recently hosted by the Moscow Region State University (MRSU) discussing how to best teach Russian to Tai-Kadai speakers. (Note: Tai-Kadai is the group of mostly tonal languages found in southern China and Southeast Asia, including Thai and Laotian. Participating in this webinar were linguists from Russsia, Thailand, Vietnam, Kazakhstan and many other countries. More than 300 students living in Moscow also attended along with a number of Thai students who are studying in Russia. This webinar introduced a new online didactical platform (teaching tool) called "Russkiy Siyay." Siam Technology College supports this project by MRSU and wishes them all the best.
