Remarks. There are two parts of the Congress. They are “The National Congress on 30 May 2013 with Thai as the Official Language” and “The International Congress

on 31 May 2013 with English as the Official Language”. The details given below are for the International Congress on 31 May 2013.
 

OBJECTIVES

- To share knowledge and advances in Interdisciplinary Studies and Good Governance.
- To build networks of professionals, researchers, educators and policy-makers practicing Interdisciplinary Studies and Good Governance.
- To expand the opportunity for knowledge interchange.
- To facilitate knowledge-sharing for ongoing initiatives.
- To build repositories of current practices and lessons learned.

TOPICS OF INTEREST

Interdisciplinary  activities are activities that involve  interaction among two  or more disciplines.  Good governance has   8 major  characteristics: participatory, consensus oriented,  accountable,  transparent,  responsive, effective and efficient, equitable and  inclusive, and follows  the rule of law.  Good governance assures that corruption is minimized, the views of minorities are taken into account,  and  that  the voices of the most vulnerable in society  are heard in decision-making. It is also  responsive to  the present and future  needs of society.  The topics of interest of this Congress  are  interdisciplinary  innovations  involving  two or  more of disciplines such as Science,  Social Science,  Business Administration, Clinical Sciences, Communications Sciences,  Earth  and  Environmental Sciences, Economics, Education, Health Sciences,  Engineering, Information Technology, Internet Technology, Material Sciences, Law  and  Legal Studies, Mathematical Sciences, Media and Journalism, Natural Sciences, Physical Sciences, Politics and Sociology, Psychology, Public  Administration, Religious Studies, Social Sciences, Telecom- munications, and etc.   Any other related topic will also be considered.


ABSTRACT AND PAPER  DETAILS 

Abstract and paper must include,  in the main body of  the document, a  title, names and affiliations of  all authors. We also require a postal address, telephone number and email address for at least one contact author. The font must be Times New Roman. Only the title must be in 24pt font and centered.  The names and affiliations of  all authors (including the details of the contact author) must be in 12pt  font and centered. Abstracts and papers should state clearly:

(1) The main objective of the paper.
(2) The key issues, “conversations” and/or literature that the paper will address or draw upon,  as  well as disciplines involved.
(3) The nature of any data, case-study material, reviews of literature, etc.
(4) What has been found from analysis of data, etc.
(5) The intended/actual contributions of the paper to knowledge and practice in the field of Interdisciplinary Research and Development.

(not more than 3,000 words  or about 5 pages.)

 

PUBLICATION OF PAPERS

1) Abstracts of all accepted papers will be published either in the e-form or printed form.
 2) Selected papers will be published in the Special Issue  of  the Journal of  the Interdisciplinary Network of the Royal Institute of Thailand  (Application for ISSN in process).
3) If the author wishes, page charge may be paid  to  have  the  paper  published in either the Regular Issue or the Special Issue  (only one and not both) of the International Journal of the Computer,  the Internet and Management (IJCIM),   ISSN 0858-7027,   www.ijcim.th.org,  with Impact Factor 5.49 from Index Copernicus.

Remarks: There is no Registration Fees for authors of accepted papers. However, if the author’s institute can pay only for the Registration Fees and not for the page charges, the payment of “Registration Fees” equal to the page charges can be made with a receipt issued as Registration Fees rather than page charges and the paper will be printed in full in either the Special Issue (Proceedings) or the Regular Issue of the IJCIM as chosen by the author.
